West Wallsend High School is located within easy access of public transport. See Hunter Valley Buses website for timetable details.
If you are eligible you must apply online at Transport for NSW school opal cards are delivered to students' homes.
If you already have a school opal card you must keep your details up to date. If you change schools or home address you update your details at Transport NSW update details . Students starting in Year 7 next year should update their details at the end of Term 4 to re-apply.
Student Opal cards can only be used for travel to and from school. Students are required to have their own personal Opal cards for transport outside of school and for excursions.
Note for students in Years 7-12 to be eligible for a school opal card you must live more than 2km straight line or 2.9km walking or further from the school.
As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.
