Our school was recognised at the 2020 Minister's and Secretary's Awards for Excellence and the Regional North Excellence Awards.
Principal, Dr Walsh had great pleasure presenting individual awards to School Captain, Maddison Reichert and Sharon Jenness, Head Teacher Wellbeing. Maddison received a Minister's Award for Excellence in Student Achievement, recognising her consistent achievements during six years of high school and her contribution to school culture. Sharon Jenness received a Secretary's Award for Excellent School Service. A key member of our team Sharon instils self-belief and resilience in our students and fosters a proactive and dynamic culture across our school.
Our school received a Secretary's Award for Outstanding School Initiative for Powerful Practices for Improved Reading Performances. Principal Dr Walsh recognised Krystal Bevin, Lauren Holding and Jessica Somner who have all been instrumental in leading this initiative.
Deputy Principal, Michael Chandler was also recognised with an Executive Director's Excellence Award for providing high-level leadership, strength, support and stability during the course of COVID-19.
We are proud and grateful to have such inspiring and dedicated people at our school.
