Positive behaviour for learning

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) underpins our school vision of:

  • Engaged Learners
  • Passionate Teaching
  • Exceeding Expectations.

Our PBL Universal Expectations of:

  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Excellence

are the foundation values upon which all our expectations are based. Students are encouraged to demonstrate these values in all areas of their school life.

Staff recognise students who are observed displaying these values over and above normal school expectations through a number of different methods:

  • Electronic GOTCHA
  • Excellence Award
  • Faculty Excellence Award

These awards all accrue points, as shown below. Points are tallied during the year, with major awards presented at end of semester ceremonies.

Respect, Responsibility and Excellence, PBL commendation system.

Recognises students who do the right thing.

RRE points are calculated each week. At the end of the term, students in the 'house' with the most points enjoy a reward.

'Winning House' rewards are very popular!

Individual recognition

Year Advisers present individual RRE Certificates at Year meetings. Major individual awards are presented at our end of semester excellence assemblies.
