Mrs Sharon Jenness is our Head Teacher Wellbeing. Her role is to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing of students to improve learning outcomes.
Her specific focus is on empowering students to thrive within the school community by building pro-social behaviours, resilience, coping skills, responsible digital citizenship and positive relationships. This involves assisting students in meeting their social, emotional and material needs to increase competence, problem-solving and coping abilities.
Mrs Jenness directs her team of specialist staff in the delivery of a broad range of learning and wellbeing programs that facilitate collaborative planning and connection between teachers, support staff, parents, and students, including:
- Whole-school wellbeing initiatives
- Targeted strengths-based supports for students requiring personalised assistance
- Connecting students and their families with support networks within the school and the wider community.
