A message from the principal

At West Wallsend High School we value and actively pursue personal achievement to create a strong sense of belonging and an inclusive culture. Teachers are committed to providing a high-quality community of learning, delivering a broad range of subjects in an environment of high expectations, high care and high support.
We have a tradition of strong parent and community involvement working together with the P&C and the Kumaridha AECG. We also foster proud connections to our four partner primary schools as part of the Sugarloaf Community of Schools: West Wallsend PS, Barnsley PS, Edgeworth Height PS and Wakefield PS.
Our passionate and innovative teachers offer a range of academically enriching programs, including initiatives for high potential and gifted students. The school also places a focus on developing aspirational learners with strong vocational educational opportunities. Students engage with a range of opportunities in sport, creative and performing arts, leadership, cultural initiatives and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) at school, regional and state level.
I look forward to working together in partnership with you to ensure that our young people become confident, creative, caring and resilient individuals.
Thank you in anticipation for your commitment and support of our wonderful school.
